ICME 2025 Call for Papers
The First Congress on Mechanical Engineering aims to serve as a dynamic platform for fostering collaboration and innovation between academia and industry. By bringing together leading researchers, engineers, and industry partners, the congress seeks to:
- Showcase Cutting-Edge Research: Highlight the latest advancements across the diverse fields of Mechanical Engineering, including Engineering Design and Vehicles, Mechatronics, Production and Industrial Engineering with Management, Thermo-Energetics and Renewable Energy, and Traffic and Transport.
- Promote Knowledge Exchange: Facilitate the sharing of groundbreaking ideas, technologies, and methodologies that address current challenges and shape the future of Mechanical Engineering.
- Bridge Academia and Industry: Strengthen partnerships between academic institutions and industry stakeholders, fostering practical applications of research for societal and industrial benefit.
- Encourage Innovation: Inspire new collaborations that lead to innovative solutions, sustainable practices, and technological advancements in Mechanical Engineering.
This congress is committed to uniting diverse perspectives to advance the discipline, stimulate economic growth, and contribute to a better future through engineering excellence.
Submission Guidelines
Papers are accepted either through the online submission tool or email at icme.fme@uni-pr.edu. For those unable to use the Online System and are emailing, please include a cover letter with author details, university or country information, and any other author related data.
- We accept files in .docx/.doc/.pdf Pdf format - as per the call for papers schedule.
- Type of presentations: Paper and Poster
- In the initial submission, please do not enter in author details, university, country information or any other author related information in the paper to be in line with the double-blind peer review process. This information should be supplied using the online submission form or cover letter in case of email submission.
- The author must ensure that the manuscript is thoroughly checked and proofread before submission. Please note that once submitted, no changes can be made during the review process. If accepted, the authors may make minor revisions before final publication to address any identified areas for improvement.
- At the time of camera-ready submission, please include complete author information as per the paper format.
- Manuscript submissions must contain no more than 30% of textual material published elsewhere by the same author(s), and these sources must be acknowledged and cited. In other words, the remaining 70% of the manuscript must be unique and original to your current submission.

Formatting Guidelines
- Manuscripts submitted should not exceed 8 pages for the main body, excluding references and appendix. However, manuscripts exceeding this limit may be considered at the chair's discretion, particularly for review or survey papers.
- Manuscripts must be original and relevant to one of the many congress topics.
- Authors are required to ensure accuracy of quotations, citations, diagrams, maps, and tables.
- Figures and tables need to be placed where they are to appear in the text and must be clear and easy to view.
- Please ensure that your manuscript is formatted according to the downloadable template.

Review Process
The review process will be double-blind. Therefore, please anonymize your submission. This means that all submissions must contain no information identifying the author(s) or their organization(s): Do not put the author(s) names or affiliation(s) at the start of the paper, anonymize citations to and mentions of your own prior work that are directly related to your present work, and do not include funding or other acknowledgments.
The acceptance decisions will consider paper novelty, technical depth, elegance, practical or theoretic impact, and presentation.
- Original: the paper explores a new idea, project or issue; discusses existing research with promise of new insight, discusses new research; or presents new ways of considering existing information.
- Engaging: presentation format will involve the audience in some way or has high potential to attract congress attendees by addressing needs of the community.
- Significant: the paper raises and discusses issues important to improving the effectiveness of existing techniques, and its contents can be broadly disseminated and understood.
- Quality: claims are supported by sufficient data; claims draw upon relevant literature; and limitations are described honestly.
- Relevant: the paper addresses one or more of the themes of the congress.
Post Congress Publication and Indexing
ICME25 proceedings will be published in Journal “MAKINERIA" (“Mechanical Engineering”).
