Students Enrollment / Admission Criteria

New students admissions to the Communication and Transport program are based on criteria established at the University of Prishtina level, regulated by the UP Statute. Admission quotas, selection criteria, and registration and appeals procedures are announced in a public call, following the decision of the UP Senate. Public announcements are published on the official websites of the University of Prishtina and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The UP Statute and the Study Regulations define the general requirements for admission, which are applied uniformly to all applicants. Specific requirements for study programs are further defined in relevant regulations, which are publicly accessible on the official websites of the University and the Faculty.

Student selection for enrollment in the study programs is based on three criteria:

  • Previous academic achievement according to high school performance (30%)
  • Points from the State Matura Exam (30%)
  • Points from the Admission Exam (40%)

Admission requirements for bachelor studies are based on Article 98 of the UP Statute.

All candidates who have completed secondary education and passed the State Matura Exam are eligible to apply for bachelor studies, as well as candidates who have completed four-year pre-reform gymnasium education (without the State Matura Exam).

Candidates who completed their previous education outside Kosovo must hold valid high school diplomas or other equivalent study documents in accordance with the requirements of MESTI. Students are required to submit original diplomas and transcripts, as well as the original certificate of points from the State Matura Exam.
