Sutdent rights

The rights and responsibilities of students at the University of Prishtina are regulated through a comprehensive legal and institutional framework, which ensures academic development, equal treatment, and a safe and ethical study environment.

This framework includes: the regulations for Bachelor and Master studies, as well as other relevant institutional documents within UP (link: https://dokumente.uni-pr.edu/rregullore), which regulate the organization of studies, student status, mobility, etc. Here, students may also refer to any matters related to: registration and deregistration, progression of semesters and examinations, completion of studies, and graduation.

The Code of Ethics (link: https://dokumente.uni-pr.edu/kodiietikes) regulates the relationships between students and academic staff, responsible conduct, the prohibition of discrimination and harassment, and the protection of confidentiality.

Students have the right to request institutional protection and reporting in cases of ethical violations.

PROTECTION OF STUDENT RIGHTS

Students have the right to be informed about the rules and to request their implementation.
The University of Prishtina guarantees a supportive environment for learning, research, mobility, academic autonomy, and for respecting dignity and equality.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Students must attend classes regularly and fulfill the requirements set by the study program.

  • Students must comply with study regulations, including procedures such as registration/withdrawal.
  • Any form of plagiarism, cheating, or misuse of someone else’s work is strictly prohibited.
  • Students must respect academic staff and avoid discriminatory, harassing, or exploitative behavior.
  • Students must contribute to a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
  • Students are required to use faculty equipment and infrastructure responsibly, including laboratory equipment, technological tools, library resources, and digital platforms only for study and research purposes.
  • Students must maintain confidentiality when necessary.
  • Students must respect professional boundaries and the privacy of others.
  • Based on the principle of academic integrity, students are expected to promote ethical behavior and report any irregularities if observed.
