The learning outcomes for the Traffic and transport program include:
- Basic knowledge of the phenomena and issues related to Traffic and transport, environmental protection, intelligent systems, planning, road design and signs road design, maintenance, mobility, etc.;
- General knowledge in computer science, information sciences, and the economics of communication systems;
- Fundamental expertise in the field of planning and management of transport infrastructure;
- Fundamental expertise in the field of road safety and auditing.
Specific Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Manage transportation systems at the city and state level through different stages (planning, transport services, implementation, maintenance, control, safety assurance, and economic sustainability);
- Plan traffic systems, dimension transport infrastructure, forecast future traffic flows, and prepare plans for traffic regulation as well as traffic studies and reports;
- Develop integrated transport strategies, sustainable mobility plans, and analyses in the field of road safety;
- Prepare and organize passenger and freight transport services;
- Implement vehicle technical inspections and road infrastructure maintenance;
- Prepare investment programs in the fields of transport, traffic, and mobility;
- Acquire professional knowledge for drafting strategic infrastructure projects in transportation;
- Develop professional skills for preparing environmental impact assessments and spatial plans in the field of Traffic and transport;
- Design equipment and signaling systems for transportation systems;
- Understand “Smart” devices and technologies and implement Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in solving traffic and transport problems.
